Lab Staff

Our staff consists of a diverse set of people from Montclair State University who are dedicated to researching the brain and understanding behavior. Dr. Propper’s general program of research investigates the contributions of the cerebral hemispheres to mood, cognition, and perception. She is interested in mechanisms by which hemispheric activity can be altered, thereby altering emotions, cognition, and perception. Additionally, she is interested in how emotions, cognition, and perception influence one another, and can ultimately alter brain activity. Specific areas of cognition/perception of interest include episodic memory, local/global processing, and spatial attention. Anger, anxiety, and happiness are emotions under investigation.
